During a successful 2013 National Conference in Limerck (25-27 October), Labour Youth Conference delegates elected the new National Youth Executive, which will serve until Conference 2014.
The new National Youth Executive (NYE) is as follows:
National Chairperson: Ciarán Garrett (Sean O’Casey Branch, Dublin Central)
National Secretary: Osal Kelly (TCD Branch, Dublin South East)
Membership Officer: Siobhán de Paor (UCC Jim Kemmy Branch, Cork SC)
Education & Policy Officer: Jack Eustace (UCD Branch, Dublin Rathdown)
Campaigns Officer: Jeni Gartland (Fairview & District Branch. Dublin Bay North)
Communications Officer: Luke Crowley Holland (Kenmare Branch, Kerry)
International Officer: Neil Warner (TCD Branch, Dublin South East)
The first National Meeting following Conference will elect a National Vice Chairperson from among those NYE officers of a different gender identity from the National Chairperson.
Also at this meeting, members will elect the following Co-ordinator positions (co-ordinators assist the NYE over the duration of their term):
- Trade Union Coordinator
- Communications Coordinator
- Equality Coordinator
- Policy Coordinator
- Women’s Coordinator
